ABSTRACT

Objective: To establish the behavior and the factors of risk associated to the Syndrome ofBurnout (SB) in students of boarding school rotational I and II of medicine in the HospitalFoundation University of the North in the 2006.Methods: Study descriptive, of the population of 55 students of boarding school rotationalI and II of both sexes. It uses anonymous obtained survey car, have more than enoughcharacteristic sociodemográphic, labor and the scale of Maslach. They are processed andthey present the data using SPSS. It is made analysis univariado and bivariado, to establishtendency to the association among the dependent variable SB and the independent ones bymeans of squared Chi and value of p < 0.05.Results: The global prevalencia of the SB is of 9.1percent; the distribution according to dimensionsof the SB, is: emotional exhaustion: 41.8percent, despersonalization: 30.9percent, low PersonalRealization: 12. 7percent. Met tendency to the association between SB and relationships withthe working team, also, there was relationship of this variable with the grade of emotionalexhaustion and of personal realization; as well as between the presence of children and thegrade of emotional exhaustion.Conclusions: The SB is low in the interns. He/she the met tendency to the associationamong the relationships with the working team and the grades of emotional exhaustionand of personal realization.
